HIGH COMMISSIONER’S VISIT TO MALHOTRAS AT CHANDIGARH
Sir Richard Stagg, KCMG, British High Commissioner to India on his visit to Chandigarh on 31 March 2009 was the Guest of Honour at a Special Dinner Reception convened at the residence of the Malhotras at Chandigarh.

At a gathering attended by distinguished residents of the city comprising of Hon'ble Judges, senior civil servants, doctors, lawyers, technocrats, business personnel, academicians, journalists and diplomats, Sir Richard Stagg felt at home. He mingled freely and made friends with the residents of Chandigarh. With his warm, friendly and cheerful disposition, Sir Richard Stagg spent a long evening at the residence of the Malhotras in Chandigarh catching up with local inputs and the warmth of a cosy comfortable home.

Sir Richard Stagg with his informal and vibrant personality made instant friends. He was very impressed with the elite gathering and exchanged views upon discussions on topics of mutual interest. His visit was looked upon as a positive step to harbouring friendly and strong ties between India and UK.
